We are looking for an experienced Agile Coach to help continue our company’s transition towards more effective ways of working.

You will coach, mentor, and guide our teams to figure out the best solutions for their specific team challenges. You will analyse the organization’s existing operating structure and working practices and implement improvements to help streamline processes, create efficiencies, and drive autonomy and ownership within teams. You will work as scrum master within one of our product teams. You will have line management responsibility for our scrum masters.

Ultimately, you will play a key role in the long-term strategy across the entire organisation, helping our teams to deliver better products in a faster, more efficient manner.

Role Objectives

  • Guide teams to help them stay on track with agile techniques, fine-tuning approaches as needed
  • Lead agile workshops for both product development and functional teams, as well as key stakeholders
  • Promote and advocate a culture of continuous improvement, setting goals and milestones and being accountable for them
  • Drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset and ensure the organisation is at the forefront of industry best practices

Main Duties

  • Approximately 70% of time will be spent in a scrum master capacity within one of the product teams, helping it continuously improve
  • Approximately 30% of time will be spent working with teams and the leadership to analyse current systems and processes and help them continuously improve their adoption of agile best practices
  • Facilitate learning and development through individual and team coaching
  • Coach senior management in agile practices to ensure adoption of best practices
  • Effectively communicate agile principles, scrum practices and overall operating model across the organisation
  • Champion the use of metrics and other objective measures across teams
  • Keep an objective perspective on issues and troubleshoots by applying agile principles
  • Coach and mentor scrum masters ensuring they have everything they need to be successful in their roles UMEMYG

Qualifications/Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as an Agile Coach in software product teams
  • Experience in Scrum, Kanban XP and other agile frameworks, processes, and practices
  • Demonstratable record of helping small and medium sized businesses adopt and mature their agile practices
  • Strong leader, educator, and coach
  • An excellent communicator and motivator

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with a technology or technology management focus.
  • Certification in Professional Scrum Master Level 2 (PSM II) or Project Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or an equivalent certification.
  • Technology background

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree with a technology or technology management focus.
  • Experience working in FinTech or the Insurance industry
